Older, discontinued versions Step 7: Restore your font libraries Step 6: Download and Install the version of Connect Fonts or Suitcase you are reverting toĬheck the Compatibility Guide for either Connect Fonts or Suitcase Fusion to find the version that's compatible with your system that you'd like to revert to. NOTE: It is imperative that your Connect Fonts font vault has been removed during the uninstall steps, as font vaults are not backwards compatible and will not work with previous versions of Connect Fonts or Suitcase Fusion. Move the following files, if present, to the Trash: In the Library, Click on the Preferences folder.

Select the Go menu then press the Option key and you will see the Library appear.

Click on any blank space on your desktop.

Click 'Stop Connect Fonts Type Core' - at the bottom of this window.

macOS: Select the Connect Fonts Menu > Preferences.

Step 4: Stop the Type Core and delete two files

Uninstall the auto-activation plug-ins from Sketch and any Adobe Creative Cloud applications you are using by unchecking the checkbox next to the plug-in.

Windows: In the drop down menu, select Edit > Manage Plug-ins.

macOS: In the drop down menu, select Connect Fonts > Manage Plug-ins.Step 3: Uninstall the Connect Fonts Plug-ins Not doing so will result in two Google Fonts collections one as a Personal Library, and one under Third-Party Fonts. You should remove this library before reverting to Suitcase Fusion.Note: Connect Fonts makes the Google Fonts collection a personal cloud library.In Connect Fonts: Select the File Menu > Remove Google Fonts.Step 2: Remove the Google Fonts library from Connect Fonts For more information, see the Extracting Fonts Manually From The Font Vault On macOS from this article. If Connect Fonts doesn't open: You can manually extract your fonts from your font vault, then import them into a new font vault once you've reverted back to Suitcase Fusion.For more information, see Move Local Libraries to the Cloud. In Connect Fonts, first convert your Local Libraries into Personal Cloud Libraries. If Connect Fonts opens: The easiest way to revert back to Suitcase Fusion is to use Cloud Libraries to rebuild a Suitcase Fusion font vault.

Solution Step 1: Convert your Local Libraries into Cloud Libraries -OR- Collect your fonts manually from the vault

This article applies to all versions of Connect Fonts, and Suitcase Fusion version 22 back to Suitcase Fusion 7. Suitcase Fusion and Suitcase TeamSync have become Connect Fonts.
